Play starts with the youngest player and proceeds clockwise. Players shuffle all their cards together except the Equal sign. creating their deck. They then draw five cards from their deck. Players must create an equation with the cards in their hand. Equations created allow players to gain cards from different stacks (Main. Copper. Silver and Gold). Cards gained from stacks and cards used to create an equation are placed in the players discard pile. The player may keep or discard remaining cards from their hand before the end of their turn. After the players turn has ended, they draw enough cards from their deck to have five cards in their hand. These cards are used before or during the player’s next turn. If a player has no deck from which to draw the player must reshuffle their discard pile and use the shuffled cards as their deck. If a player cannot create an equation they must reveal their hand, forfeit their turn, discard cards and draw cards until they have two numbers and one symbol in their hand.
