Description
In 1919, a series of storms cut through the forests on the southern slopes of the Rotwand, leaving 290,000 cubic meters of wood lying in the mountains with no means to transport them. To solve the problem a technological masterpiece was constructed - a train line to carry the wood from the mountains. Nothing was left to waste - the wood was used in the construction of the line, and ‘brake mountains’ used the weight of loaded wagons to pull empty wagons back up. All in all, it took 4,000 Laborer’s and three years to clear away all the fallen trees. This Snowdonia scenario allows you to relive this experience.
