In ancient times, a single individual was chosen as intermediary between the gods and mortal man. This king was anointed as prophet, priest, and ruler by the gods themselves. When the war of the gods began, each deity sought the Pharaoh's support, but in his divinely inspired wisdom, the Pharaoh vowed to balance the needs of the gods with the political and social needs of mankind. The battle in heaven shall not overflow into a civil war on earth, so long as the Pharaoh still draws breath.
The Pharaoh expansion adds a whole new layer to the divine conflict in Ankh: Gods of Egypt. The players controlling the gods will need to send their Priests to exert influence in the different offices of the Royal Palace. Political power can be a game-changer, even in the struggle between deities, and having the Pharaoh on your side may be the difference between eternity and oblivion.
This 5 historical Pharaohs you can choose change the game in significant ways, adding new rules and objectives. They also introduce Sphinxes as a special Monument you can control, each offering a riddle that will help those who honor them.
