Description
Santorini: New York is far more than a reskin or an expansion – it is a completely new game that adopts the core “move and build” mechanic of the original Santorini, but combines it with exciting new mechanics, including support for 2 to 5 players.
Each game uses 4 roles: an Engineer, a Builder, a Specialist, and a Mover. Each role is represented by 6 numbered cards, which are shuffled into a central deck. Players start with 5 cards and simultaneously selecting the role they want to play. Turn order is determined by lowest to highest number – but the player who played the highest takes the Statue of Liberty and is the only one who can win the game on that turn, creating an intense and dynamic ‘all vs 1’ environment on every turn of the game. Players reshuffle the discards and refill their hands after playing four of their five cards.
