Fortune & Famine

Fortune & Famineis a strategy card game set in the magical Middle Ages. You play as the ruler of a growing kingdom and try to store more grain than the opposing rulers in 12 turns. To achieve this, you spend silver to bid against other rulers on worker cards that produce unique goods or services for your kingdom. You need to balance your silver and grain economy and take some risks. The main risk reward are the FAMINE cards, which appear more and more frequently as the game progresses. You can store as much grain as you want to safely store for a single silver coin. This makes it economically advantageous to let your crops grow for as long as possible. But watch out! If the FAMINE strikes, you'll lose half of it!

With six rulers, variable player powers are built in. Each ruler bestows a unique power on his realm. The rulers can be randomized at the beginning or chosen by each player for less starting silver.

If all else fails and you think an opposing ruler is taking over the game, you might be able to stop him with wisely played evil wizard cards, even though each wizard costs a valuable spot in your kingdom!
