Description
The Club is the hottest board game of the Fall. It is a slightly satirical board game about life in the fast lane, love and people's need to meet one another. It's a game where people have gone out to have fun for different reasons in hopes to find that special someone with whom to share their lives with. Or possibly just a few passionate moments.
The game takes place in a night club. Players each have one side of the game board, one bar counter where they push more and more dancers towards the dance floor. As these lonely hearts then meet at the heat of the night they can be made into couples. The better the match the more points players will get.
The difference between one-night-stand and true love is determined by four visible qualities each dancer has and how they match. However as in real-life there's more in people than just what catches the eye. Each dancer has also additional secret ability that is known only by the player who originally placed the dancer into the game and these secrets then alter the eventual score. The secret qualities differ from being heart-broken to being rich. A guy can have large...umm... "personality" and the girl can have a very beautiful roommate and each of these secret traits have a part to play in this game of great desires and needs.
Occasionally the regular game play might be interrupted by one of the three special tiles - the bouncer, a celebrity or a bully. However in the end the best cupid wins the game. Or in other words, the player who has scored the most is the winner.
