Description
American Catur is a modern-day Chess Game
Chaturanga, also known as Catur is an Ancient Indian strategy game that was developed in the Gupta Empire, India around the 6th century A.D. It is commonly theorized to be the common ancestor of the board games Chess, Shogi, Sittuyiun, Makruk, Xiangqi, and Janggi. First popular amongst the upper class due to their luxurious lifestyle, the merchant class then took up the game and made available to everyone. Following the 16th and 17th centuries, the evolution of chess took a quantum leap with the queen becoming the most powerful piece and introducing new rules.
Fast forward to the 21st century, the game of American Catur was developed by Eric Curtis. The classic game of chess was awaiting a new evolution. Eric wanted to create an all-new gameplay with enhanced rules, 2-player one on one, 3 -players tow against one, or two teams of two players, projectile chips, dice, and captivating visuals. American Catur is a newer concept that continues to evolved Chess to a modern day game. The game pieces maneuver to reflect today’s military Armed forces for our present time President, Army, Airforce, Marine, and Coast Guard.
