Known for their loose-jointed, shuffling gait and massive, short-faced head, the Bulldog is a sweet tempered family companion. A medium-sized dog, they are not your typical lap dog, but would like to be! Said to have originated in the British Isles, the name “bull” was applied be-cause of the dog’s connection with bull-baiting. Bullheaded and determined, this breed can be very persistent. They do not give up easily. Bulldogs are very much a peoples’ dog, seeking out the human attention and loving every bit they can get!
